Regional Suppliers

Knowing where it comes from!

 

Our Marché® Restaurants in the Zoo Leipzig prefer regional suppliers, who always deliver fresh and local ingredients.

 

  • We cook and bake exclusively with eggs from the Geflügelhof Weber
    in Schönberg - from very happy chickens.

 

  • For our delicious fish dishes we only use the freshest fish from the Wermsdorfer Fisch GmbH in Espehain.

 

  • Our finest fruits come from the Obsthof Pohritzsch in Neukyhna/Pohritzsch.

 

  • Fresh milk and cheese we get from the Landgut Nemt in Wurzen.

 

  • At the Kürbisdomizil Schmidt in Beilrode we are looking for the finest pumkins for our dishes.

 

  • The turkey meat for our varied menu is freshly delivered from Thuringia by Gönnathaler Putenspezialitäten.

 

  • Strohwie Lohn- & Streuobstmosterei in Wittichenau provides us with delicious fruit juices.

    How about celebrating your birthday party at the zoo? The birthday child will receive a special present and all of your friends get a small surprise. Your birthday party table will be decorated with painting sheets, colored pencils and candy. Ask us about trips through the zoo! Only € 4.90 per person.

Special Events in the Zoo

  • Asian Summer Night

    Welcome your guests to the Asian pagode at the Leipzig Zoo. The authentic surroundings, an exclusive tour through the elephant enclosure and the Asian art of cooking are real treats for all of your senses! For groups ranging in size from 25 to 50 people from april to august. Please make your reservation early!

The small tapir at the Zoo Leipzig was named "Baru". In keeping with the occasion, the Marché Patakan team baked a special cake. The proceeds of cake sales were donated to the „Freundes- und Förderverein" of the Zoo Leipzig.

On 24.02.2013 the trainees from the Marché Zoo Leipzig and the Marché® Restaurants in Dresden, Fläming Ost & West, Hirschberg and Leipzig Airport took over the leadership at Marché Hirschberg and have successfully planned and carried out their own shift.
