The four best trainees from the Swiss restaurant group are going to be recognized with the “Mobile Trainee Award” and will be able to drive a Marché® Smart for a full year – free of charge.
Marché International will present four “Smart Trainee Mobile Awards” to the year’s four best trainees in Germany at a ceremony at the Hanover Airport on 4 November 2008. The keys to these four fashionable cars will be handed over to the winners by Gabriela Schmidt, Director of Operations at the Hanover Airport, and by Lars Goethel, Culinary Advisor at Marché International. The four winners of the second trainee class will be allowed to drive the cars until the end of their training period and all of the costs, including gasoline and insurance, will be covered by Marché®.
The Happy Winners
The first happy winners are Sophia Stoppok (21) from Marché Berlin, Christian Danielisz (24) from Marché Fläming, Maria Waldmüller (24) from Marché Airport Nuremberg and Stefan Pape (23) from Airport Hanover. “These four trainees, with an average grade “A” or better, are all among the best and most promising up-coming staff we have”, is how Lars Goethel described the situation.
The “Mobile Trainee” is a new, innovative program to help promote young staff members in the company
The Swiss restaurant group Marché International is proving with their extraordinary and unique incentive program “Trainee Mobile” once again that the importance of attracting and keeping young staff in the company is as important now as ever. “We are currently experiencing a steady growth in the demand for young, qualified staff in the restaurant business. For that reason, investing in highly-motivated and dedicated trainees is becoming more and more important for us,” says Judith Sparber, Marché International Head of Human Resources, who, along with her team, was responsible for developing this innovative concept. The “Mobile Trainee“, a Smart in the typical Marché® Freshness look, will be made available for the trainees, free-of-charge, for them to use as they wish during their last year in the trainee program. This incentive is intended to reward the trainees for the top-level performance they have already shown and to bind the managers of tomorrow to the company. No comparable program is currently being offered anywhere in the gastronomy sector.
A Systematic Approach to Building a Career
The next year’s class of trainees at Marché International will also have a chance at winning the highly-coveted “Mobile Trainee” award. Additionally, the training organization also offers the trainees, following the successful completion of the program and passing of the final examinations, an optimal assortment of career opportunities within the company. The graduates will be assisted, as one example, by an internal support program as they take part in the career planning activities. Internal promotions within the Marché® organization will be favored and the trainee program can therefore quickly become a launch pad for an international career. Communicative and service-oriented graduates will be offered the opportunity to continue their education into substantiated gastronomical degree programs with excellent job opportunities and chances to move up the career ladder – and all of this for a global organization. Young, highly-motivated young people are being sought for our trainee program for next year at Marché International, as well. Every year, about 200 trainees are busy learning the “ins and outs” of the trade at Marché International locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. 130 of these are being trained in the field of Systematic Gastronomy.
