Marché® Plaza Senayan is captivating Indonesia with delicious Swiss specialties in a breath-taking setting among Swiss huts that are true to the originals from the 16th century.

Marché® will be expanding into Indonesia in April 2009 with the opening in the Plaza Senayan Shopping Center. Covering a total floor space of 1,132 m², the Marché Plaza Senayan will offer seating for 430 guests. The wishes and needs of our guests there will be attentively tended to by 95 dedicated staff. Our visitors can enjoy delicious Swiss treats right in the middle of true to the original Swiss huts from the Swiss Alps.

In the Marché Plaza Senayan, freshly-prepared meals can be enjoyed in a relaxed and comfortable Swiss mountain setting. To make this possible, Swiss huts were shipped in to Jakarta straight from the Bernese Alps in Switzerland. “Those logs are made from a 500-year-old pine trees which were rebuilt and taken from six antique log cabin houses that represent various villages in Switzerland,” explained Andrew Towner, General Man-ager Asia Pacific. A team of Swiss carpenters on site is taking care that the chalets are rebuilt true to the original plans of typical Swiss chalets.

In addition to a variety of original Swiss decorations, for example, the cha-lets, cable cars or hay forks, our guests can view films on a large video screen and be astonished at the magnificent Swiss alpine scenery. A large indoor playground is available for our smallest guests. In the “Heidi House” they can find everything their hearts desire for an exciting stay in our restaurant. Aside from coloring sets, small flags and balloons, lots of interesting and varied toys encourage the kids to get involved. Your visit at the Marché Plaza Senayan is sure to turn into a wonderful culinary experi-ence and a relaxing short vacation in Switzerland for the whole family.
